Children Of Victims of Abuse Receive A Night Of Impact Too!

MHE donates sponsored tickets to local safe havens in Duval and surrounding counties.  This takes place at The Pangea Live in Historic Springfield Downtown during Victor Antonio’s “Pretending To Be Normal” and “Stop the Madness” plays Saturday – October 10th at 7 PM.  These plays are in support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month addressing family violence and the affect of child abuse on families.  How are these children afforded this opportunity?  Well each ticket that is sponsored for a Victim of Abuse is then donated to the local safe havens in Jacksonville Florida.  The parents of these children are survivors of abuse and they receive a non-traditional type of therapy that serves as an aid in their process of healing.  That’s Milk and Honey’s approach to joining in the fight against domestic violence and child abuse – allowing individuals to see themselves from the outside looking in.  They believe that people learn best from experience and should they not be able see themselves, then they see someone they care about and leave our shows provoked to do something about it.  While the parent(s) enjoy the show, the children are “Superstars” enjoying balloon animals and facial artwork by face painters and storyteller Ajamu Mutima absolutely FREE for up to 50 children.  To learn more on how you may sponsor a Victim of Abuse visit www.milk-n-honey.com or via mail at Milk and Honey Entertainment, P.O. Box 54811 , Jacksonville , FL  32246 .  Milk and Honey is truly “Not Just Entertaining…but Life Changing!”

Comment:  Very emotional.  I wanted to yell "Stop!" on some parts.  Actors/Actresses took their roles seriously and it showed.  I felt someone was really telling me the story.  The play was a wonderful way to illustrate this.  Would love to see more.  Very professional.

Comment:  Very enjoyable, interesting, and moving most of all.  I think everyone could benefit from this in some way.  We all have had one form or another of abuse in our life and can certainly learn from how it effects others in life that we encounter.

Comment:  I have been around abuse my life and you brought it out that I am not yet all the way healed myself............ You all are wonderful!  You were really great, so real alot of soul searching for myself and this will help me raise my child and grandchildren better.  God sent me here.

Comment:  "Pretending To Be Normal" is the most powerful expression of what some families experience I have seen.  Excellent and deserves to be seen by many in schools and everywhere.

Comment:  All the cast were for better than words can describe.  Visualizing actually open up my mind further than I could have ever thought.  I definitely will continue to follow Milk and Honey and contribute to the cause of making people aware of such a needed subject.

Comment:  I really enjoyed the play.  It was a great example of real family situations of how it happens.  RAW)!  The rawness help people to experience the pain of others, whose in that situation and motivates to reach out to help others.

    Milk and Honey Entertainment presents...
2009 Cry For Help Symposium & Motorcycle Ride
Milk and Honey Entertainment is hosting an all day affair featuring the Cry For Help Symposium and night of impact and life changing entertainment at the Pangea Live in Historic Springfield of Jacksonville Florida on Saturday - October 10, 2009.  Our Cry For Help Project deals with domestic violence, teen abusive relationships, child abuse prevention and family domestic violence.   To read more about the Cry For Help Project and the impact on the community please visit our website at www.milk-n-honey.com or http://milk-n-honey.com/impact__community.

Our themes this year for this annual event will be "It's Not Your Fault" and "You Don't Have To Stay The Victim."  We believe that if we can impregnate more women with just these two thoughts, massive change will began in the lives of women that have been bound by these lies that they have believed through the course of their lives!

Our Plan of attack is to give them avenues other than the ones they have been traveling.  These are, for example: financial stability, moral support, life coaching, awareness to programs and services that are available for them like the Quigley House, Victim Services, Hubbard House and Legal Aid.  So, during the symposium there will be booths featuring agents from organizations who provide counseling and/or assistance to those in domestic violence situations, associated with domestic violence awareness for the prevention of abuse.  All proceeds will go to this project and participating services.  We are fundraising to continue the Cry For Help Project in the Southeastern States to reach more people in their respective counties; that includes more symposiums, panel discussions and shows.

The Symposium and the night of entertainment which will feature Victor Antonio’s one act play "Stop The Madness" is purposed that we might join in the support of those that need training and assistance to help them get to the next level of their life.  Just added:  Sponsor a VICTIMS OF ABUSE  in  Jacksonville Florida's local safe haven houses and victim services for October 10, 2009 to view "Stop The Madness" at 7 PM.  This sponsorship includes Free Childcare the night of the show!

Comment:  This play needs to be taken to all community centers, schools and especially after school programs.  The actors & directors were exceptional.  It is a tough subject, but was well presented without offending.  Hope was present...a call to action for all ages.

Comment:  I believe your message was well presented.  And I could relate to it very well.

Comment:  Everyone done a wonderful job.  I can really relate to some of things that has also happen in my life, and is willing to be able to share with anyone who has time.
